General Information About Self-Employed Tax Credit (SETC)

The SETC (or Self Employment Tax Credit) is an abbreviation for the IRS’ Credits for Sick Leave and Family Leave for Certain Self-Employed Individuals. This program provides a tax credit for qualified self-employed individuals impacted by qualified COVID-19 disruptions as outlined in the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

The SETC is for self-employed individuals, such as 1099 contractors, sole proprietors or single-member LLCs, entrepreneurs, independent professionals, freelancers, gig workers, or any other self-employed workers, including partnerships (Form 1065).

If self-employed individuals filed a 1099 or 1040 (Schedule C/SE), including partnerships (Form 1065) for 2020 and/or 2021, they could receive up to $32,220 for individuals and up to $64,440 for couples who filed jointly.

The SETC is NOT for S-Corps, C-Corps, and W2 income; it applies to supplementary income to W2 income (W2 + 1099s + Schedule C/SEs + 1065s).

The SETC is NOT “too good to be true”—we have hundreds of rules, including all the IRS compliance rules that protect self-employed workers and us.

They may be eligible but not qualify!

Please note that we are not selling anything or trying to convince anyone to request their money.

We only inform and give access to the functional and tested AUTOMATED SYSTEM so that self-employed individuals can request the millions in tax credits the US government has set aside for them.

Good to know:

· There are no upfront fees.

· There are no fees to check eligibility, do an estimate in less than 10 minutes, and decide if they want what is rightfully theirs!

· They can get the tax return in 15-20 business days with our Advance plan.

· We handle it all: They provide their documentation, and we will do the rest.

Eligibility criteria:

~ Must have been self-employed in 2020 and/or 2021 and received a 1099 or Schedule C/SE income.

~ To determine eligibility, they need to upload their 2020 and 2021 personal federal tax returns (the US government program allows us to apply the tax return to the highest income between 2020 and 2021).

~ Must have experienced a qualified COVID-19 disruption (In the application and the IRS link below are all specific conditions.)
